Spiritual care is the intentional care of all aspects of the life of a person: body, mind, and spirit, and is a skill required by most healthcare accrediting organizations. Health Ministers are individuals who do not have a nursing degree or license, but take this course to gain spiritual care skills. If you have a heart that longs to relieve suffering and a mind for problem solving within your community, this is the course for you.
All course participants receive a certificate as documentation of attendance, including contact hours and topics to submit to the certifying body of their choice.

Student Testimonials

I really enjoyed the discussion boards in the online portion of the Foundations in Faith Community Nursing class. It was wonderful to ``talk`` with classmates and read other's point of view….Learning more in depth about spirituality was a highlight for me. I loved all of the readings. I learned so much from this class.
Faith Community Nurse
I highly recommend this gem of a class (Foundations) The coursework is vigorous, but the information obtained is invaluable to individuals planning to serve their faith community as a Faith Community Nurse. I am not a nurse but found the information pertinent as well to our church's health ministry.``
Health Minister
Well organized and the instructors were wonderful, caring, supportive, attentive and experienced professionals. They will always be there for you.
Health Minister
I would highly recommend ALL nurses to take the online FCN course. In fact, Faith Based universities offering the BSN programme should incorporate it into their degree, highlighting it as a Certified Practice Specialty.
